The main problem with Whatsapp is the fact that all media gets downloaded to my device. Need to clean them every now and then. As most of that are being circulated forwarded virus infection is a real threat.

I like Whats app because, it helps me to send unlimited messages across anywhere, I can do group chats and not just voice calling but I can even do video calls through it.
The thing I dislike about Whats app is the unwanted images, videos and messages eats up my phone space a lot

That is the only way for me to keep in touch in the extended family. You don't pay extra for your overseas calls and you just text them whenever you want. Forwards are a pain in you know where, but I have overcome the problem by sending a sweet but clear messages to those who do it regularly to me. Now my phone isn't dying with the weight of the crap.

For me it's one of the best so far. I can text, send text or voice messages or talk to my relatives anywhere in the world. I can also video chat non stop with my friends and family members anywhere in the world.

it's alright. The video connection is really solid, better than Skype for me. I use Line too, which is good.

I love whatapp has a chatting app, I don't need to do more than sending a text at a very fast speed. I don't think I dislike whatapp anywhere and I don't see any pros.

WhatsApp is a great instant messenger. It sends messages very quickly and aslo consumes very less bandwidth.

I don't see that happening.. In fact their is no justification for it..this are two seperate applications with different features.. Why would the owner want to merge them..it makes no sense

It can only be possible if the owners come to an agreement but personally I wont want that to happen.

Staying connected and sharing updates is the biggest plus of WhatsApp.
However people tend to fight over trivial opinion differences in groups and also on matters like not watching or commenting on status, DP etc and other blah blah...

It's popular in my country compared to SNAP and other messenger apps.
The Cons is the media files is still keep within our phone and eat up our internal memory even we have deleted it from the app itself.

Pros of Whatsapp for me is that it's fast and has convenient features such as location sharing - last month, the repairman for my AC was unsure about the direction to my house so I shared my house location's with him using Whatsapp. On the other hand, there are several cons of course; Internet connection is a must and yes, like what other members said, it clogs your memory if you're not careful with all those voice messages, pictures, files, and whatnot. I have to remind myself to clean up my phone every two days or so.
