I agree, that is unless you go for big brands and have a lot of cash in your pocket, you can go either with Asus or MSI for gaming. Asus is better in cooling and build quality compared to MSI but have quite bad support in my country. MSI however have average build quality and suffer from overheating but their support is nice.

Nowadays laptops are getting more powerful and getting more expensive. The more you compact parts and features into a laptop the more expensive it becomes

Or we're just needing more power for our every day needs which isn't sufficient to our current spec...

I do agree with this. Though the bad side of laptop is that, coolers cannot be modified or extended. I mean when we modify a PC, we can easily add lots of tubes and water as its cooling system and we can't do that with laptops because its a mini version. Though portability is indeed a big factor and a big advantage for the notebook.

If you want a computer to be upgradeable, you should buy a desktop.
However, you have a great number of laptops that will be in the top 10 for the next couple of years :D
And they are portable ;)

True but on the other hand it packs less power then PC and you can easily connect PC to your TV if it's in the same room too but I have bigger monitor than TV anyway.

I remember it was so complicated to do 10+ years ago, now you just stick HDMI cable and that's it. I remember I had to use like 4 pages long guide that was posted in some PC magazine to connect my PC to the TV back then.

Hi,

I agree about advantages and differences between laptop and desktop. I'm using both - laptop and desktop. For me when I decided to buy my first laptop I was looking for it was to have good battery with good ' real working time', in my case 5-6 hours, with less weight, enough RAM and ROM memory. Today we have big choise and much bigger offer of different models of lap tops, for every need we have and they usually not cost too much.

I agree, but now most manufacturer's built laptop on portability or speed, there aren't something in between. You are forced to go light for more battery life while sacrificing performance or go with one powerful but go low on battery quickly. I hope there is more choices in between.

Having a laptop makes things a lot easier. I still have my desktop and the fact that I can make upgrades to it and swap out parts still makes it fun and exciting.

Laptop is much more convenient than desktop . It is portable and we can work in it sitting anywhere provided if there is a wifi connection or a data card.
