YouTube used to be the champion service provider for video makers. Now there is competition with other service providers. Not to mention YouTube is not Google's best-earning product or service. When you see companies making changes and restrictions like that, there is no doubt their profits have been impacted and they're trying to figure out ways of staying afloat. You have to roll with the punches because the alternative that they don't provide YouTube at all OR they start making everybody pay to use it. Right now, even though I don't use the channel, my YT channel is free. I don't want Google to start charging for this service.

Adult Youtube channels should be monetized again, just make them invisible for Youtube Kids.
