Some of their victims are former ptc members, many ptc owners sold the username,emails and passwords of their members. There are people who uses 1 password for all accounts so they got panicked by these emails too.

and I just met people who proudly said they have the same username and password for every place they use because they cant memorize passwords. Well browsers memorizes passwords and there are some password remembering services.
