I believe that YouTube is going downhill extremely fast. So many popular creators have spoken out against it and are looking for other platforms. Nobody will have anything to watch if there aren't any creators.

You should consider making a beauty channel. Makeup gurus on Youtube are making millions. Your subscribers will be women and girls and not creepy guys.

I agree that makeup tutorials are really in demand in youtube. But the problem with that is youtube just have too many makeup gurus. You need to be very beautiful or very skilled or do something unique to stand out from the rest.

At this moment Lostygirl a Mortal Kombat streamer still have her videos monetized but she have to turn gore scenes into black and white and she doesn't do fatalities when she wins.

Youtube is trying to cater to big brand advertisers, I don't see the site ending anytime soon, because there is too much money at stake. Google owns Youtube and they are trying to commercialize the video sharing site so that it will be more like TV and Movies.

Youtube is already a Netflix, Youtube red have original tv shows and had licensed full movies.

Yes but they do have any hardcore rated R and horror stuff?
if not they will not compete. No one will want to pay for PG content
or creator content... if the same rules apply to youtube red
it will be crap just like the regular site is becoming.
I saw the free episodes of Karate Kid when he gets older,
but it was not enough to make me want to get youtube red.

Also the whole thing about advertisers don't like hardcore content is lies.
On other streaming sites I watch horror and rated R movies
lots of cursing and violence yet they still have ads.
I don't know what youtube is thinking but they are trying to be disney when they are not.

As I said earlier they have a crazy identity crisis thanks to ftc. Though I have some resentment to Youtube and Susan, I hate FTC more. These boomers need to update their laws.

I just hope youtube will get over its identity crisis. Them being in a identity crisis affects the income of a lot of youtubers who have spent a lot time to make videos with hopes of earning but instead resulting in wasted effort.
