A professional? You mean there are people who do that as job and being paid?

They have been around for some time but are more common since Covid-19 hit the world. You are give a username and password to make sure you get the right funeral and can watch the service live.

Have you or would you attend this type of funeral?

No, I haven't attended any webcast funeral so far. It is not much prevalent here in India, but will soon be popular, as covid is showing no signs of relenting. It may seem odd to attend a webcast funeral, but in days of covid pandemic, we are not left with much choice I guess.

Yes, sometimes it will be a minister or it can be what is called a celebrant. Celebrants get paid to speak at funerals or weddings or other occasions. I know a woman who does only funerals. You can do it without any formal training but it is available if needed.

Sadly, due to pandemic people cannot attend funeral physically but thanks to internet and smartphones they could attend funeral virtually. But the sensation would be different. At least in physical mode, people who mourns will be comforted better than virtually.
