Re: Do you tell people about your online writing?

What I hate is when people ask how work is going and then they ask "how much do you get paid?" I would never never ask a person how much money that they make. I think people can be so nibby.

I won't because its hard to explain to them and I gave up explaining earning online to them. Also Entertainment writer is kind of looked down. Also I had been writing smut as well. So They should not know.

People laugh because my roommate's cat refuses to leave my desk. He loves my chair. If not my chair, on my desk. If not my desk, on my laptop. He loves to push on the keyboard. He knows how to close the cover.

I cannot move him or even touch him as he bites. Kind-of like 4 inch fangs.

He has been kind-of good recently (knock on wood).

So, yes, people know all about my online writing "problems".

Do you have a "pet problem"?

Exactly. I know what you mean. I do not have a facebook account. When I posted my work on facebook, my "friends" never gave me comments. They did not read my work. But in person, they would ask how much I make.

I have a sister who is aware I work on most writing sites but she probably doesn't know the sites I work on just a few and she does not even have access to them.

I haven't shared the specifics of my online work with anyone, so I guess I'll just disappear and not be heard from. It's sad but when we go, life goes on for everyone else.

Yeah it is sad but that is the truth. I find that there is no difference between knowing and not knowing you created websites because nobody would appreciate. That happens to me

Since I'm a person who likes to talk about many things with his friends and family, my answer would be yes I do tell them and I am proud of doing it. It is really enjoyable for me to write posts and of course to earn money by doing it.
I've always dreamed of finally earning money online and it finally came true :).

Do any of your friends and family know about your online sites? There was a lady named Patsy on MyLot who was writing into her 90s and in the end she went into a home but she had a son who kept us updated. For most of us that wouldn't happen.

Life is unfair. When someone dies, they are often replaced immediately. And slowly people forget about them. That is just the reality of life. Actually, today is worse, because thing like cryptocurrency will go to waste. Especially for people who don't share there passwords.

What i would suggest is to have an exit plan. Like a safe deposit box which will be opened when you die. In that box, you should have detailed explanation of the location of all your private wealth, access to relevant accounts.

My family know that I am working online and I share some of these articles in my Facebook account. I want to accomplish something that would be useful to others even when I'm gone. So that someone will write about me and my accomplishments while I am still alive.

Lately, I have enough courage to share my poetry on social media unlike before. So, I guess they have the idea now that I am writing stuff online.

Yes only one of my family members I have tried to tell some of my friends but the don't take it seriously since they think it is not true. Most people here in our area don't know much about online working and they think it is a scam so I don't talk much about it nowadays. I just do it for myself so I can earn some extra cash.

My mom knows about it, but as she is technologically almost impaired, she cannot search what and where I write. My brother knows about it too but he doesn't care, maybe 'cause the sum I earn is nothing significant. Nobody else knows apart from them if they haven't disclosed it to any third person.
