I use both but use them for different purpose. I use Facebook to see or get updated with my friend's or family's lives. I use whatsapp if I needed to chat or use it as a free messaging device instead of topping up my mobile.

I think what I liked most about whatsapp is that I can use it similar to how I use a normal SMS. With FB messenger, it is more of "chatting".

I use whatsapp more than facebook.Nowadays I just spend less than 5 minutes in FB to just have a look.Most of my contacts and chatting is through whats-app groups,even use for my business marketing.

I don't really use Whatsapp that much anymore, I mostly talk on Facebook. I don't really see the point of Whatsapp when you have the Facebook Messenger. (except that it doesn't use that much data)
