Like I said in my previous post I was using Tumblr back in 2011 and recently I just made a new account and will be using it mainly for personal and private reasons. On that note I am now slowly leaving IG and Twitter. It feels like all the people I am trying to avoid are slowly creeping in to the social media platforms I use.

That's an awful bad feeling. But can't you use certain privacy settings to avoid them? Why should you have to leave? The platform is there for everyone. Anyway ... you do what's best for you. Stay safe.

Facebook is now connected with IG. You will notice that FB will suggest that this friend of yours is using IG and will encourage you to do the same if you are not on IG yet. Even if there are privacy measures in place if FB will let the people I avoid know that I am on IG then that is not helping me at all. I got some personal reasons why I avoid certain people and I am pretty sure almost everyone using social media could understand where I am coming from.

WHY? Instagram is mainly for uploaded images. With Tumblr you can share almost anything. Links, Images, Quotes, etc.

Ha ha ha! Silly me. It turns out Facebook owns IG or Instagram. I did not know that. Just saw an article (dated 2018) indicating that people might be leaving various social media platforms and more people plan to leave Facebook than any of the other social media networks. However, the percentage of people planning to leave Instagram is not nearly as high. So I guess Zuckerberg is probably thinking: "Six in one hand. Half a dozen in the other."

If they didn't send you a message that it was deleted, it should be active. I see lots of Tumblrs that have not had posts for years. But the posts they left archived were quite lovely.

I used to have an account with tumblr but not anymore. However, i do frequent the site to keep up with the fictional world of some tv shows, for example, SCANDAL that comes on ABC network. Also to read posts about celebrities that I love. Other than that, I do not really use the site.

Be careful, I just read this thread and decided to go have a look, but shortly after I started looking around a virus seized control of my computer and scared me to death. I had to shut it off and ran some scans to make sure it was OK, thankfully it seems to have just been a scare. I don't have any compelling reason to try it again.
