I can see some results in the analytics data so I am considering to give time in updating my Boards. I am still in the learning process. I don't know yet how to group the contents.

Not only do you have to learn how ot group the content in general categories but Pinterest just added a new feature called Sections. You can further organize your content on the pinboard into Sections.

For example. Say you have a Pinterest board labeled "Entertainment". Under this main label, you can now create Sections and when you pin to the board you can pin Sections you created for "Music", "Movies", "TV Shows", "Video Games", etc. It's neat. I've used it for two board so far.

I guess I am doing it wrong. I created boards based on sites like "bitlanders post" and the like. I should have done it based on category or interest. Thank you for enlightening me. I think I really need a lot of revisions on my account.

I don't like to characterize your efforts as "wrong" but I have found that if you use something more generic like "freelance writer" or "getpaidtowrite" instead of the name of the site, more people will view your pins. When you use the name of the site it often only attracts the people who know or recognize the name of the site. Whereas if you create a pinboard or add tags in your description with general or generic words, more people can find your pins.

I do sometimes create boards using the site's name like Virily, for example. I called my pinboard "Best of Virily" and only share posts from that site for two reasons. (1) You can earn money for your social shares. (2) It's a new site and in case it shuts down I want to be able to delete my shared links easily.

So! I wouldn't say you're doing it "wrong". But you do need to figure out what strategy works for you. I also recommend that you find Group Boards and see if you can join them. They expand your presence on Pinterest.

Another thing. Pinterest is really good about indexing pins so they show up in the search engine results.

Hope you find this advice beneficial.

This is very helpful. I am seeing some improvement in the statistics. I need to figure out how the site can help me. I am reading a lot of blog posts about getting the best from Pinterest. I just realized a lot of things. It may really take time to learn things but I believe learning few things every day can be helpful in the realization of my goals in blogging. Thank you.

I have Pinterest account but not active there anymore. I really enjoy pinning pictures and looking at various pictures like nature photos. I have few boards there. I used to enjoy that site. Maybe I should comeback
