Do not use your gadget while charging it with a power bank. It will ruin both.

I've got 6.

1: I usually have one in my work bag to charge up when I'm running a tai chi or mindfulness class.
2: One in my overnight bag fully charged in case.
3 and 4: In my car, charging on a spare power outlet, a spare one ready to swap out. When it's full, it replaces (2)
5: A powerful one to boost a car battery if my battery is flat.
6: Spare for who knows.

I probably need help.

Would you recommend the use of power banks.

I am using Redmi power bank. I use this power bank also for my electronic projects, it's handy and very easy to use.

Power banks are manufactured to aid the user of his dying phone due to lack of power and there is no available source on hand to charge the said phone. In any way, they are very useful in times of dire needs and in emergency cases.

But my concern, why is it this power said to destroy the phone when using it? Is it true? Or is it just a presumption? In my own point of view, charging a dead phone or dying phone to power bank won't practically overcharge it. And the power stored in the said gadget is not as powerful as in the direct current. Therefore, in any manner, it won't affect the life of the mobile phone. Am I not right?

They're crap unless you have a massive panel. The only thing they're good at is not losing charge over time but that was never much of an issue anyway with my other powerbanks. Fortunately, I got this solar charger bank for just £5.

That's an impressive discount. What was the charge "size"?

I usually carry power bank with me only when I embark on some long travel, but only as back-up source for my phone. I rarely had to use it, since my phone battery easily lasts more than a day when it is fully charged. But I am not sure whether using it causes any harm to the mobile phone.

I believe that they do absolutely no harm to the phones battery, provided that it was manufactured by a reputable company. Always check the company before purchasing electronic equipment.
