So many can’t use the keyboard but the best thing is that if U want them to know How to use u have to get them one.

We can not blame them. They are not used to it and have not had much practice with the keyboard. Luckily my daughters are very good at typing using a keyboard. My younger one is 15 and has no personal phone yet and so all she has is her laptop. Elder one is 17 and she got her first phone on her 16th birthday and now she is fast with a touch screen as well as keyboard.

Yes I have noticed this too as well and it's due to the fact that a lot of them are very conversant with smartphone and unless they go for computer training I don't see them knowing how to use it at all

It's not just teens, but years of typing on the keyboard have been the culprit for my worsening handwriting skills or penmanship. I don't know if I'll be envious, but many teens and students I know are using their smartphone keypads as efficiently as others are using their keyboards. Well, they have to if they have to attend online classes and have limited resources. During normal face-to-face classes, however, most students get to use the computer lab with desktops and they have to use programs that can only be installed in more powerful devices.
