There the rules laid out are very confusing and unclear. I never posted a single line response in my life! In fact people used to discourage me for writing a long discussions and responses. On that site i always used to do some research before posting, I still fail to understand where I went wrong there to get myself banned! :)

Some sites are a bit confusing and it really discourages users. Though I do not leave the site, I decrease my time spent there and also limit my activity to stay safe there.

Though forum rules are seemed to be permanent, but there may be a situation that some of those rules may be modified. I have been here in this site for almost three years. I have experienced that some of the pioneer members are keeping on suggesting to the admin something what they have known from the others. They want to impose it here too, but the admin didn't mind them.

Rules and regulations are necessary for a forum to sustain online. I am not against the rules which are helpful for forum growth.

I would like to see more restrictions against posts that are made simply to snatch another penny and move toward meaningful content that might actually be of value to the readers.

Some discussions are such that there cannot be any intelligent input there

One very important thing to do after joining a site is to read the rules. Every site wants a quality post and any user of that site should post something quality. Some people just post irrelevancies to get some coins but that's not good enough.I don't think they are strict here compared to the other sites I'm working

Each site has different rules and one is expected to abide by them or get booted out if they are not followed :)

In my point of view there should be a page which clearly mention the forum rules and regulations. That page should be easy to access on the homepage.

Forum rules in the very least lay down an expectation. My forum has 4 basic bullet points for rules. Usually forums don't end up with more elaborate rules until someone forces the staff to do so...

Forum rules are good. They keep things organized. Other wise we would have a crazy place
that would be chaos like some forums I used to be a part of.
