Whenever I had a phone and I'm pretty bored using it or just felt like wanting to have a new phone, I will sell it or swap to other traders. It's fun experiencing other phones with different fuctionalities.
I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII, and I don't see myself upgrading for at least a couple of years. It seems like features in cell phones are upgraded extremely gradually. I haven't had any problems at all with my phone, so I don't see a reason to get a new one.
well i'm 22 years old and i've been using cellphones for 8 years now, and I only changed my phone 4 times lol , still having of them at home , I only change the phone after it damaged or if i find better offer lol
I only change my cellphone when I think that it is becoming damaged either on the battery or on the screen/case, so normally I change my cellphone every 5/6 years.

You are absolutely right! Every year the market has new phones with only a few hardware/software difference. I think big differences and evolution are occurring only every 3/4 years, not every year... I only buy a cell phone when i really need one...
Even I'm fan of electronics I don't have a need or habbit to change my cell phone often, exept when it exist some malfunction or lower battery capacity. I'm not fan of smartphones, android or other new kind of devices. Cell phone factories are producing all the time newest models and their job is to make bigger profit, people are only consumers that help them to earn more and more
We are on the planet, around 7 billion people. Imagine that all exchanged mobile phone every year? It would be an endless amount of electronic waste ... and yet is already produced much e-waste, especially by developed countries ...
Since 4 years i am using my samsung S5263 and still it is working nice. My son asked me to exchange it for smartphone but i refused . That is my first phone and it is a memory.
I changed mine 6 months ago after 3 years on the old one. My wife had an even older one that had really poor battery and Android 2, so I gave her mine and bought a new Motorola with a 13 Mpx camera to take better photos.
