From my personal experience nowadays downloading without torrent its faster, I dunno why but it is... Maybe because there are more and more people that simply download the file and dont seed to others.. Usually I use torrent for files that are as big as 500mb to 1GB, files that are larger I download it directly from browser... It has stable donwload speed
