Re: Windows 10 Free Upgrade

Postby oldfriend » 14 Dec 2015, 18:32

Yes, I upgraded to Windows 10 for free.

It is much better than Windows 8.

I don't have to worry about Windows spying on me because I don't install stuff I shouldn't have.

Tried upgrading to windows 10 but after a pop up sign came up which stated that it was only for a limited time.Cancelled the free upgrade and resorted back to windows 7 which am currently using. On the bit about it uninstalling pirated software without your consent yet to hear about it.

I really want to but the negative comments I hear puts me off. I am getting the pop up more often too and nearly gave in last time then decided not to. I have Windows 7 at the moment and like it because it does everything I want it to. I know that if I buy a new computer at some point it will come with Windows 10 so perhaps I will wait.

Presently I am comfortable with Window 7. I would like to wait some more time and study the pros and cons before upgrading to Windows 10.

If you are comfortable with computers then any upgrade should be alright and you should be able to sort out any minor issues that crop up. If you are not then it might be a good idea to stick with what you have.

I think the spying isn't just about software maybe they see all your activities online, what websites you use your buying behavior etc

I did it in September last year as I was getting repeated from Bill Gates. Finally I had to give up to his repeated requests and surrendered my 8.1. I agree Windows 10 is better than 8.1.

I haven't even upgrade to Window 10 yet as I heard of mix reviews! I am sure I will have to soon though since it continuously pops up all the time, which annoys me very much. I might have to surrender to this some time in the future.

Yes, I upgraded my laptop.

Spyware, pirated soft ware is not a problem with me.

It is working well and much more friendlier than windows 8.
