My favorite is gmail. When I was in high school, I was using a yahoo mail. Gmail is faster than yahoo mail.

I entered into the world of internet through Yahoo. Then I switched on to Rediffmail and finally to Gmail. I am comfortable with Gmail and no plan to shift to Yahoo or Rediffmail.

I have never had a Yahoo account so I cannot say it is better or worse than Gmail. I have a Gmail account but I hardly use it. My main email is one that is through my internet provider and that is what I am used to. I need to start using my other account for random things I sign up for but just have not gotten around to it.

I have not a Gmail account and I'm using always Yahoo. However, today I can't access my account, I tried Yahoo Messenger, as well the email account and it's impossible to sign in. I tried another ID on Yahoo, and that's working. Same happens with my husband's Yahoo accounts. One is working, 2 impossible to be accessed. Someone experienced this issue today?

I've been torn about Yahoo and Gmail lately. I have email addresses registered with both and I use both very frequently.

I have stuck with Yahoo since I have been with them for 11 years and it is the email address everyone knows. Their service is real horrible honestly, but it's hard for me to transfer all of my email stuff to Google.

Your observation is right. Lately, I have used my Yahoo email and its service is efficient. I think it is being updgraded and it is more secured compared to 4 years ago.

Both because Yahoo was my first I joined 18 years before and it's about to change hands. It will probably be part of a big group like twitter, Google or Verizon or may be daily Mail, my last choice though.

I have both gmail and yahoo but I prefer gmail because it is more secure and easy to use sometimes Yahoo has issues with logging in though I use it more often

Not sure why but I feel like gmail is safer and more secure. Google seems to go that extra mile, and im not sure if yahoo is the safest option honestly

I don't know about safety (because there were reports of safety being compromised on Gmail as well), but when it comes to usability, Gmail stands out. Yahoo is too cluttered and filled with ads.. Gmail is more user-friendly and organized.

Reason: Gmail loads faster and is easier to use than yahoo.

The only issue I have with gmail is the requirement for me to always use my phone to verify any new account.

In my opinion, this is overly obtrusive.
