Netflix is now at global tv network

Postby Happyland » 07 Jan 2016, 02:43

Are you a Netflix user? Have you watched any movies or programs through the Netflix platform? Well during the Consumer Electronics Show Netflix announced that it is now live in more than 130 new counties. The ceo announced "Today you are witnessing the birth of a new global internet tv network" For one set monthly price you can watch original and licensed content in many languages including Arabic, and Korean. The roll out is continuing in more countries. Plans in India will start at about 500 rupees ($7.50) per month. There will be two other plans at 650 and 800 rupees each.

I think the cost of marketing to new customers and offering free trials will initially hurt their profits but that will eventually turn into a boost to the bottom line. Netflix is headed towards becoming a powerful player in the broadcast business. I think the next move for them should be to create a live news program to be broadcast over the internet.

We actually do not have cable. I got rid of cable in 2010 and do not regret it. The only thing I can say I miss is "Video On Demand" only because I found a lot of cool movies in there. And I also miss being able to keep up with shows. We use Netflix but I find sometimes it takes forever for seasons to be added for certain shows. It is a great alternative though instead of cable.

I would like that. There are a few shows that i am currently watching on internet every week and if Netflix comes out with something like that i think i would watch it.

I have had Netflix and no cable for many years now and we probably watch it more than anything on TV.

I've started using Netflix again after they branched out to Japan. It's great and super convenient. Plus the Japanese Netflix does a great job with updating. There are new movies out every time I check.

I love Netflix and have had it for years. At a cost of £5.99 a month it is a bargain when you consider the many films available. I like the fact you can choose the categories you want and they will send new films within those categories.

I used to use Netflix although never really watched it alot. I now have Amazon prime (mostly for the next day delivery) and it comes with free streaming (Amazon Prime Instant Video) and that is good enough for the occasional time when I want to watch a film or binge on a tv series of some sort.

I would definitely go for Amazon Prime because of the sweetener streaming option but unfortunately it is not available in New Zealand. We have a few streaming options: Netflix, LightBox, Neon and Quickflix. It fragments the market quiet a lot; the platforms have exclusive content. I have a 6 months trial to Neon (which my parents got) so I'll be using that. Neon has Game of Thrones which is pretty cool but is nearly double the price of the other options.

I have had netflix for a few months now. I am really hoping that they start adding some newer movies on here soon.

I used to feel that way too, but I started watching TV series and like them even better. They are like a really long movie to me.

Netflix is slowly venturing into new territories. Nevertheless, it is encountering significant resistance from vested interests. Take the case of Kenya, Africa where Netflix was recently accused of encouraging the erosion of morals among the populace, especially among children. An influential government-funded consumer agency petitioned the Information minister to ban Netflix. Have you heard of a more absurd argument?
