Google Search Is Now Phasing Out

Postby nakitakona » 19 Jan 2016, 07:04

Most of us are searching the Internet and we are using the facility of Google Search. Just a matter of a second all pieces of information about our topic or theme looking for are displayed right in our very own desktop or laptop screen. Then we begin scanning them one by one to suit our needed info.

Google search is a very handy for us by using our desktop computer or laptop. However, latest apprehension among web developers or experts is the phasing out of this facility which could be used anymore. The platform is not longer suited for such search in the world wide web. It would be superseded by apps anymore and it would be readily availed of in everyone handy phone, ipad, ipod, tablet.

Goodbye Internet search. Hello search apps.

I assume you read that somewhere online, so it must be true, right?

Edit: For those who didn't catch it, this was meant to be tongue in cheek.

Hmm, I can't get my head around how this would actually "work". For one, laptops and personal computers are still not phased out. True, there are lots of people who have smartphones and tablets but I don't think it makes sense to have an app to do this basic things. I mean, even smartphones have web browsers installed.

Ever since AOL got run over Google is king of search. Goodle will continue to dominate in search whether organically or inorganically through buying smaller rivals. They will not let themselves be dismantled from their top perch. Even if mobile apps get a foothold in search, Google will be at the forefront at that effort whether behind the scenes or in front of it. Google is not phasing out no time soon. Not in any of our lifetimes.

I agree with happyland Google search is the cash cow even so much that its in the American lexicon as a verb "Google" someone. Its more likely that as Google expands into other areas they would include a search app instead of replacing the tried and true business

You are all in your right mind and in your observation that Google wouldn't ever be phased out. But my point of the news is the decrease of search being utilized by online users. It is Google itself that provides the information through an ads that the effective way of searching is through a mobile apps. And for that matter, mobile phones are coming in in leaps and bounds. They are mushrooming all over the world and even to the remotest place where signal communication is available.

I'm glad you actually corrected that, @nakitakona! You must admit though, your post was a tad confusing because the heading dramatically claims "Google search is now phasing out" LOL Gosh, you almost had me in a panic, because I'm all about Google. Phew....at least that's that sorted :)

Recently I have used Bing and have grown to like it better than Google for some searches.

Haven't tried Bing to search anything, I have always used Google. Any noticeable differences/benefits with Bing?

Some like it, some hate it, but anyone can find out free by just trying it.

I have the same reaction with you upon hearing it. In my first reaction, it is impossible for a giant search engine like Google may phase out. If they do, it would be another name but it is still under Google. But I don't think so. It will. However, we don't know. Let's wait and see.

Google earned its money from that Google search so how in the world would it be a goodbye? This is simply ridiculous.

For most of my online work, I prefer using laptop/desktop.. I just don't feel comfortable with smarphones for certain things although it's useful in a few things.
