There are many competing brands for mobile phones. Blackberry has phones, Samsung, Apple, Nokia, Microsoft and a host of other brands such as Micromax, LG, Lenovo. Some phones are the top sellers while others are gaining in popularity. Apple announce that is has filed to open its own stores in India to boost sales. Does anyone know what brand of phone do most mobile users have in India? Thanks.

It's very hard to tell.. but these days, tier-2 brands like Lenovo, Micromax, Xiaomi, etc are doing great.. Motorola has risen like a phoenix and is doing exceptionally well. Samsung has lost its market share considerably.

According to International Data Corporation, Samsung held 32.9% of the market in 2015 and remained the only smartphone vendor in India to register positive growth in it's market share.
