My Laptop Was Freezing

Postby iamshane487 » 01 Feb 2016, 12:28

My laptop was freezing a while ago. I thought I can't work tonight because of the unwanted ads that appear on the screen. Good thing that my friend told me to uninstall the software that installed by my sister. I went to the control panel and determined the newly installed app.

You probably had some Malware that got installed along with something else.

That is one of the reasons why I don't install apps which I don't know in my devices. Probably you got a virus or a "malicious" software.

It is good you follow the suggestion given you to uninstall those programs or apps which have been installed to your lappy recently. You know those programs have a hidden script which monitors your activities in the web. Though they are legit program, but the source where the program is taken, is the one responsible for attaching its plug-ins or whatever for that matter.

I would highly suggest getting the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, run a full scan to be certain nothing else slipped in.

Did you know you can get a free copy of Browser Linux that can boot from a USB stick, then you could be sure it's not your hardware causing the problem.

If you are not sure of the apps that are available for download be very careful because it can mess up your computer with a virus.
