Note apps for smartphone

Postby ksridharprasad » 05 Feb 2016, 02:34

Hi Friends,

Now you need not write chit for groceries list, need not write information that obtained from the net. Now need not note like this on paper, if you install a note taking app in your smartphone. There are plenty of note taking app available in the net those are color note, ever note, fi note, Google keep, lecture note, notepad plus, one note and some note.

I use one called Simple Note for Android and it is just that. Add, Message, Delete Message and Read Message is all it does. However I use it because it takes voice to text dictation and I love that.

I used to use Evernote quite a bit, but that's when I was synching it with my office computer and before the days of Google Docs/Drive. Lately I tend to just use Google Drive.

I use Colornote which is a free app on Android. It's pretty good. I use it to keep track of my spendings.

I use the notes app that comes with my iPhone. I use it every so often, I find it really helpful when I'm out and about to use.

I only use free downloaded note app on my Android. I will check ColorNote that you mentioned here. I will download it if I like it.

I have an android and just heard of this and am pretty excited to use it. Prior to this I used my phone recording device to record myself talking during quick ideas that popped up but that met later transcribing which I know how to do but this would save time to use my voice to dictate to text. Do you just use the google mic option thing I didn't notice any way to use voice but that?

Does anyone still use Remember The Milk? It used to be highly recommended a few years ago, but I kept forgetting to use it daily (which is pretty ironic). A lot of other apps have come out since then, so I wondered if this was still high on the list for anyone.

When I tap any field that takes input, my keyboard pops up and it has a little microphone icon I can tap and just start talking to have it fill in the field for me. It also has a stop button that allows me to switch back to typing mode, then if I like I can do it again from wherever the cursor is.

For me, listing down the list in the notebook or paper is the best than the apps, but thank you for sharing the info friend. Maybe someday I will install it. It doesn't need any ballpen.

I don't use my iPhone's notes too often. Only when I don't have a pen and piece of paper handy and need to take down things so not to forget. But I still prefer to use a grocery list I bring with me. I find it easier to browse thru.

I also use ColorNote and find it really helpful. I have a number of lists in it and it is very user-friendly. It is a great way to note something that you think of during the day and want to keep a record of for later. I also have a shopping list on it that I use when visiting the supermarket.

I am using Remember the Milk now as a to-do list. I used it some time ago, but then I forgot about it. Recently I'd like to look for a to-do list online, then I went back to it. It has recently upgraded the app, so it seems easier and better to use.

I am also still using Evernote, Google Docs and One Note, those are for different purposes. Evernote is more about bookmarking, Google Docs is for me to keep my documents and files, and I use One Note to do jot down my research notes. For simple to-do list, I prefer Remember the Milk now.

I didn't know about Color Note, it seems like many people here are using it. I will check it out and see how it looks like. ;)
