Non hacking chip

Postby ksridharprasad » 05 Feb 2016, 02:46

Hi Friends,

The technology institute of Massachusetts technocrats developed a new type of chip for credit and debit cards to prevent the theft from the hackers. India based technocrats also in the this team, They have developed a chip which works on radio frequency identification method. Now it is difficult to hack the details of the card by using this chip. Every time this chip generates a new password which will be linked with central server.

Looks like a promising technology. The question is when is it going to be implemented outside US.

I suppose most technology is impossible to hack, until someone figures out how to hack it. Sometimes that happens very quickly after the technology is release, sometimes it takes longer.

It may be difficult to hack right now but just give it a few months and someone will learn how.

I have "Life-Lock" and don't keep checking or accounting or Credit Card numbers on my computer.

Yes, some big credit card companies have already issued new cards to their customers with the chip. So now when you go to charge something in the store, they will ask if your card has a chip in it. It is as far as I can see, still hassle with these new cards, since the stores have to do things differently now.
