It sounds a bit odd at first but then again this is direction in which the world is headed. Machines and robots will slowly but surely continue to replace humans in the workforce in many types of industries and careers.

Yes we are marching ahead towards an age where machines will replace humans in many important areas. Technology is developing faster and we can see such developments in India and other developing nations also very soon.

I'd personally hate to have to deal with a robot, devoid of all human emotion, in place of a real person LOL Granted some of those assistant can be robotic LOL What happens if they fail to function?

Agree, I rather be attended by a human rather than a machine, even though sometimes humans themselves act in a close form of a robot. Robots may malfunction, in which case the presence of a human at the rear is always required.

I too really do not want to deal with a robot and it bothers me that our technology is coming to a point where people may lose jobs a lot of jobs... And let's face it there are only so many jobs out there and some people are spending less now and becoming more frugal so not all business ideas are good as they once were. It may sound cool but at the same time a bit doom like for us who need money to get by.

This is a great invention for those who try to shun one-on-one human interaction.

I'm curious: does this robot speak in the inventor's accent? lol :)

Well, as long as the robot doesn't search me when I go through custom, it is fine, but I would be a bit uneasy talking to the robot. Our world is changing, you now only get voice recording messages when you call in, and you won't get to talk to a real human at all. Slowly, we are all trained to be more isolated and cold hearted.
