I think so because if you set the computer to do stuff it will work for you just like a human being will do

Computers don't have the intelligence. The intelligence that you are referring to is made by man. Therefore man is more intelligent than the computers. Have you seen the movie, "Independence". The aliens are about to conquer America through their main computer console. But a mere virus planted to the control of the computer, the main console is disabled.

Computers do not have real intelligence. Its intelligence is created by human brain. Human brain is the creator. If it can create, it can destroy too. Yes, creator is always the best.

I do believe that computers can appear to have intelligence by virtue of the superior logic that was programmed into them and can be accessed at much faster speeds than a human can recall knowledge from their own memory.

A computer needs a human to tell it what to do. Then it can only do those things and nothing else. A computer does not know what love is. It does not have the capacity to have faith, hope and love.

Computers run on programs and programs are created by man. So that is clear that computers have no intelligence of their own but subject to the programming. However, there are intricate programs that function like having an intelligence of its own like the chess game.

We are very close now to being at that point.

There is an excellent Video called, "Inhuman" by Thomas Horn.

It will blow you away.

Also read, "Forbidden Gates" by Thomas Horn. It covers artificial intelligence, Gene insertion, and where scientists are today in this quest.

If you have trouble finding them just PM me and I will get specific on where you can get this.

It is not dull reading.

I feel like artificial intelligence is something that is becoming very real and very scary. We are on the verge of creating an intelligence that can learn and adapt based on data it consumes. I think this is something we definitely need to watch out for and begin regulating.

Having been made by man, computer's can not be more intelligent than humans.

A computer can achieve numerous astounding feats, but it cannot match the intelligence of a human being.

NB: My view of intelligence here centers on the ability to think and make decisions.

Regardless of when it comes, it will still be artificial.

Humans will always be a step ahead of computers as it's human brain that programes and commands intelligence of the computer although how the computers are used is something to be afraid of.

I think it's possible that self-learning computer systems might overtake humans. Once computers can reprogram and rebuild themselves, then it will be difficult to keep them under control...

Even if that happens, they will still need external an power source that could be disabled (like pull their plug).

A computer will never outwit the dumbest human being.

Why, because many individuals contributed to making the computer.

Consequently, the computer is making use of the minds of many individuals at any point in time.
