hacking

Postby Vinaya » 21 Feb 2016, 00:48

Once my twitter account was hacked, The hacker began sending nasty messages to my followers. MY followers informed me through tweets that my account might have been hacked. I reset my password immediately.
Has your twitter account,or any other social media account, ever been hacked?

Fortunately, I have never had any of my social media accounts hacked. I know several people that this has happened to on Facebook. It was good that your followers were able to let you know about your account being hacked. Some people have nothing better to do than try to destroy what others have.

My twitter was not hacked. I am curious how to hack twitter and Facebook but don't have a time to learn. Good that you opened your Twitter back.

In various forums I have been to, I have presented why account is possibly hacked. One common possible incident is not closing or logging out your account in a public Internet cafe. Second is lending your account to a friend who fails to log it out. Third, giving your username, password to a paying site as a requirement, among others.

Fortunately I have never been hacked.

I try and stay on top of my passwords though.

No. I'm not really into social media so it never happened to me but a few days ago I couldn't log in to my paypal despite typing correct password so I was afraid I got hacked but turned out it was a temporary issue on their end.

I never had such problems with my social network accounts. I am very careful with the passwords I choose. My private settings are also one of my main concerns so I am not an easy target for hackers.
