Any Hard Core WOW Players?

Postby Teg » 22 Mar 2016, 22:29

Are there any hardcore World of Warcraft players left? When I say hardcore, I mean people who've played each expansion, consistently raid, participate in rated battlegrounds, and the likes? Do you try and get every possible achievement?

I have not played this game but I know that my niece is a big WOW player at least until her son was born. Now, I am not sure how often she plays. I know that she would probably be the type to be a hardcore player like you described. I have never really been a big gamer like that. I am not good at these games.

Although I have played WoW before, I never really got into it. I liked Ultima Online. UO was the first major MMORPG and it had a much different feel to it than WoW. There was actually a good amount of risk in UO, and that made it more exciting to play. I think the highest level I reached in WoW was seventy or so on a private realm.

I played for a while, then off and on for a bit. It's fun but I never really got into it like I got into Star Wars: The Old Republic. I think the main turn-off for wow was lack of a conceivable story line to follow and then the simple fact that there's just SO much to do. Coming into it halfway I was already incredibly behind. Anyways, I liked it, but lack of friends and lack of a path to follow just made me leave it.
