Do you pre-order?

Postby Darthmaul » 24 Mar 2016, 23:11

Do you like to pre-order games? What systems do you pre-order on? What's the most you've spent on a pre-oder?

I don't usually pre-oder anything on PC(what I play on), and the only thing I ever pre-odered on console was the kinect. I was really happy with it, but nothing else really drew my eye for console pre-oder. On PC I pre-ordered Star Wars: The Old Republic and I was REALLY happy with it. Still play it to this day, and pretty sure it's the only thing I'll pre-order for a while.

I did have to pre-order some games for my son before since he has so little patience. It gives him the pleasure of getting the game first before the public. I also didn't have to pay anything extra to pre-order the games, and if I do, I would rather wait for it.

I rarely pre-order a game and I really love to play video games... :) In fact I, normally, buy used games because they are cheaper.
Only when I'm really expecting an awesome game I pre-order the game. The last one that I did that? The Last of Us, of course!! ;)

I have never pre-ordered a game. I usually don't care to spend the money until I can actually play the game. I guess I'm just cheap. XD

Very rarely, Because I can't afford to pay for brand new games. I usually have to get a pre owned game.
However If it is a new expansion for Final Fantasy 14 I will pre-order that :D

I don't play games as much as I used to but I have pre-ordered once in the past. Pre-ordering can be quite expensive so that it why I only did it once. I only play games when I have some spare time which is rare.

Until now, i have only pre order 2 games and any of them was around 20 euros each or less. The games was Legend of Grimrock and Resident Evil 4. Most of time i only buy games in promotions. Because im a PC gamer i buy in the Steam promotions, normally with 75% or more off.

It's a bit risky pre order some games

I rarely pre-order stuff. There's not a lot I want that needs to be pre-ordered. I think I've only pre-ordered a few times and that was for books.

I don't prefer pre-ordering. I guess this is because I'm not a heavy gamer.

I don't spent much on games.

I never pre-order, I usually don't care too much about the stuff that comes with pre-ordering and it's a risky thing to do if the game sucks.

I never pre-order any games too. I'm not rich (still in college) so I wait till a game is released and check its reviews or at least its score on gamespot or ign so that my money doesn't go to waste.

There have only been a few times in my life when I have pre-ordered a video game. I usually only pre-order when it's a game I am really, really looking forward to and it offers some type of bonus content for pre-ordering. For example, I pre-ordered "The Sims 4" on Origin because I am a huge fan of the Sims Franchise, and pre-ordering the game got you bonus furniture and other content along with the game itself when it was released. Other then that, I do not really pre-order because I like to wait and see if the price goes down at Target, Amazon, Gamestop, or at some place like that so I get the exact same game as the pre-orderers get, at a cheaper price. And waiting also allows for me to wait for an bugs to get sorted out before I start playing the game.

I have never pre-ordered anything thus far. About games, i only play what gets famous and is recommended by many. I am not so crazy about games that i would pre-order.
I am planning to pre-order something else. There is this smart electric two wheeler being designed and tested by an Indian company. I've been following them for quite some time and I'm really impressed. Moreover I am crazy about reducing my carbon footprint. I will be pre-ordering this vehicle as they are entering the market only in this way.

Unless the game is really, really awesome and has really nice gameplay demos I may pre-order it, otherwise I would wait until people review the game. I don't understand all the hype about pre-ordering.
