I use my phone in the morning working on two sites to earn my money, but after that, I am done. Of course, I answer phone calls and texts when they come in, but other than that, my phone is on silent!

Never. I buy those toys for my folks, but I don't own one myself because I don't like them. I also hate those screens where you have to tap to write, they are so annoying. Too much energy consumption, battery life is too short, they break easily, prone to viruses, etc...
I rather use the simple mobile phone for the only purpose that has any sense to me, and that is calling. I even send my SMS through my PC, and not from phone.

I don't use it when I'm sleeping and when I have a work meeting. In the rest of time, I use it when I have notifications only or a call.

While I was initially opposed to having a smartphone, I find myself as addicted to it as most people are. I'm always checking it for new messages, e-mails, etc. xD

I use my smartphone all the time. I have an app on there to make money, so when I am not talking or texting, I am earning money. I check it once in a while to see my email or get on Facebook too, but not very often.

My wife works as a sub for school district, so we text a lot during the day. I also have one email account that forwards to my phone, I use the calendar and clock to remind me to do stuff and even test my videos for mobile compliance on it. So I guess I use it quite a bit.

Hmmm. I am surprised at some of the responses in this thread so far, just because I thought that everyone would say that they always used their phone. I use my smartphone almost 24/7. I do almost everything on it - like watching all of my shows, movies, music. Sometimes I write, do a lot of reading, and do some work.

I use it a lot. Not only for personal entertainment, but because my boss contacts me via my smartphone. I also have a dictionary on there that I use frequently because I live in a foreign country.

I use my smartphone as and when required. I never play games but apart from that I use my phone for every possible purpose. I am glad it has provided me a way to stay connected with my loved ones abroad without spending a thing.

I use my phone every hour of the day except at bed time. Few times I don't use my smartphone is when I am in an official meeting or a gathering. Even while in the car so long I am not the one driving I use my smartphone when I feel the need.

Recently I also have internet in my smartphone and I think I'm a little addicted too... I'm always checking for new facebook messages and Instagram likes

If I want a bigger screen, I use the 32" TV hooked to my desktop computer.

That's an awesome innovation @oldbuddy. I haven't explored that option yet. Though I know if I tried I would be hanged by others using the tv for entertainment purposes

After I wake up I will check my phone for missed calls or text messages. But I do not sit on it all day and I am not addicted to it. I have thought of going back to a flip phone. If I am board I sometimes will play a game or check social media on my phone. Send a text, check the weather. Beyond that though I don't do much with it.

Most people are using their phones all the time lol. I am afraid we are all going to have neck and back problems in the future because we are always looking down at some sort of device. I work from my phone with the sites that allow me to as well.

My wife liked mine so much, we got her a smaller 19" one for her laptop for $99 at Walmart and she loves it. Then I showed her how she can spread her desktop across both screens and she went NUTS!
