Anyone Tried Thync?

Postby jonjenkins » 20 May 2016, 23:20

Seems to have a lot of good reviews and testing:

http://www.thync.com/

"The intended use of the Thync System is to deliver pulsed neurostimulation waveforms to modulate psychophysiological arousal for lifestyle or wellness applications. The Thync System is not intended to treat or diagnose any disease or medical condition."

It is designed to be used for relaxation or stimulation, and costs $199. I might stick with listening to music at the moment though.

Visited the site. Another new technology working on not so new scientific basis. I don't easily get tempted with any external energy playing with my body system. Like you I still rather stick with Yoga, meditation, music and a short vacation!

If it has anything to do with my body system am better of sticking to what I have been using or doing because some of this things have consequences later in life

I will stick with relaxation music and learn to breath deeply too after I see the cost. There are so many free ways for us to relax and be stimulated without shelling out $199.

If I am overwhelmed, I will just go outside my front/back door listen to the birds singing, looking at the beautiful sky or adoring new blooms of flowers. Being with nature even for short few minutes help me de-stressed quite affectively.

I agree that being in nature can be really effective for relaxation. On a still day in the countryside, it's great just to stand and listen to the birdsong.

The Thync system is also designed for stimulation - I generally like good strong coffee for this though. :D

At any rate, $199 is a bit too much to spend on such item.
I guess I have better/cheaper alternatives for meeting my health needs.

I'd rather take a walk in the park or countryside or hug a tree. I find this calms me down more than anything else

Has this product been thoroughly tested for possible negative side effects?
Can a technology novice use it?

I live smack in the middle of a big city, but amazingly, there is still nature among the buildings. I just moved to a new condo complex, and was worry that I won't get to see the birds, the butterflies and such. To my surprise, they are around and I even caught a firefly right on my deck :)

Strong coffee will send my heart pounding out of rhythm !!!

I think it's designed to be easy to use. I doubt if anyone knows about side-effects. Anyone who is worried about that just won't buy it I guess! :D
