Mac or No Mac?

Postby shamzblueworld » 28 May 2016, 08:01

Are you a Mac user? Do you think it is better than Windows?
Why do you prefer Mac over Windows?
If you're a Windows user, do you want to have a Mac? If yes, why?

I am a Mac user, and a new one at it! It all happened to me last year as a big surprise! I can tell you that I love my MacBook better for the way it operates and functions. It is light, and it is quiet! Turning it on and off was like a blink of an eye. I have it for almost a year now, and I have no problem so far.

I was a Window user before, but my HP laptop, 2 years old, got overheated and not working properly after that. I know I can get it fixed, but my brother and sister decided to give me a MacBook instead as a present.

Another Mac user here, and have been for quite a few years now. All I can say is, once I got a taste of Mac, I never wanted to go back to PC. My experience has been it's smoother, quicker and needs little to no maintenance. Those pop up windows? A thing of the past. I love my Mac :)

I do not own a Mac since well I don't have the money to buy such an expensive machine. I also have used Microsoft OS. I am comfortable with it and don't mind using Microsoft even though lots of people put them down.

I am a Mac user and I think it is faster and more intuitive than windows. I have already had Windows and since I use Apple devices I noticed a big difference.

The only Mac I have any taste for, is Baked Mac and Cheese. I'm too cheap to pay extra just for the name.

I use Windows and I've never owned a Mac before. I know it's "recommended" and said to be better to Windows, but I don't know if it's true. I think both of them have strengths and weaknesses. I've been using Windows all my life and never had any big problems with them. So I'm going to stick with Windows which is more affordable for me.

I do not know that much about Macs other than they are expensive and completely out of my range. I have used Windows forever and am comfortable with it. However, if someone were to give me a Mac, I would definitely use it. I love Apple products and believe they are good quality. Although, I do love my HP computers and have always used them. I find them reliable and have never had any problems with them.

I like Big Mac's or even better, Sirloin Burgers with Mushrooms, but for Apples I thing Honey Crisp are expensive enough for me.

Good to know you are loving your Mac! My sisters and their families have used Apple products for years, and they didn't even install virus software on their computer. I haven't either, and so far I have no problem, cross my fingers!

Do you have virus protection software on yours?

So I think it comes down to affordability, Macs are good but a bit overcharged to you think? They do cost a lot when in compare to other machines with even higher specs.

Yes, Mac costs a lot but in my opinion, it is worth it unless you know how to fix computer yourself. For an example, my sisters and their families had Macs for years, no problem, no virus and in their families there are teenager boy and little children, while I went through two Window laptops already!

I was saving up to buy another Window since this was the only way I can have a laptop when my siblings decide to give me the MacBook as a gift. I am happy with it!

I am on another forum about computer so that I can learn a bit more, and in fact, some of the pro-Mac users suggested the refurbished ones and they swore that it is just as good as new ones except it is cheaper!

These are their few tips:

-Make sure your refurbished item is done genuinely by Apple or the places that refurbished them certified by Apple.

-Make sure you get the same 1 year warranty for your purchase.

Personally, I would do some research first and read some reviews about the stores where you intend to buy. Just make sure where you buy is a reputable place.

I would check with Amazon, eBay, and directly from Apple Websites! Depending on where you are, do a search for local businesses and compare the prices.
