Virtual reality

Postby germainebull » 30 May 2016, 04:31

I've seen advertisements promising a virtual reality gear when one buys a particular Samsung phone. I'm hesitant to grab this opportunity as I'm not conversant with virtual reality.

For those of us who have experienced virtual reality, how does it feel. What are the benefits?

I can't do virtual reality if I am buying something that is expensive. I will read reviews about it and watch videos, but to actually buy it, I will go to the real store to see it and touch it and play with it first.

If you know a friend who has what advertised, then I can see virtual reality will enhance it.

@ IcyFirefly. I don't think I understand your comment. If you will, could you elaborate on your understanding of virtual reality?

I wouldn't buy a Samsung phone for Virtual Reality alone, but I will say that Oculus Rift is one powerful and cool technology object, I would definitely try it out!

As a computer gamer, I'm not especially excited to start using virtual reality technology. I'm really not sure why. I'm fairly certain that virtual reality technology will rely on physical movement to play games. I view playing games as something relaxing, not strenuous. XD

This is actually surprising for me. I know a lot of gamer friends and they love games that looks, well, almost-real. How about if you only need to have an eye gear to experience VR but still use the same tools to play the game, will that suit?
