I've heard that there are ATMs that dispense items other than money. This is a new thing to me.

I wanna know: What is the craziest item that you've seen an ATM dispense. Where is this ATM?

If I ever go to an atm and it doesn't offer me a cash option, I am not going to insert my card into it. it might be one with a card reader that rips you off.

Offering hard goods would move it into the vending machine category. By definition, and ATM is an Automated Teller Machine and a bank teller only dispenses cash where I come from.

Appart from cash I only heard about na ATM machine for Bitcoins. In my country I guess there never was na ATM who returned other thing than cash, sometimes they do "eat" your cash and you have to wait a couple of days to get it back

I have seen vending machines delivering many edibles, coke, and other cold and hot drinks but no one calls them ATM machine, not in my knowledge at least.

That is not an ATM, it is simply a vending machine. I saw the guy insert some paper bills before the gold chip or whatever it is came out.

In New Zealand we have the "Spark ATM" where ATM stands for automatic thanks machine. It's basically a prize ATM that our biggest Telco does. Prizes include credit, free phones etc.
