How to diagnose, fix a faulty fridge

Postby germainebull » 30 May 2016, 04:40

A certain fridge has been not performing well lately. Although the light is on, this fridge is not cold. It's thus pointless to store food inside this fridge.

How would do diagnose and fix this fridge.

The best answer for you is to take it for repair to someone who knows what he is doing I can't really say what else to say

I would say, if it is not running correctly, call a repair person and if it is worth it, get it repaired. if not, price a new one. even ones from estate sales are good.

OMG we recently had a similar problem after I defrosted and cleaned the fridge! We tried to tinker around with it to get it to work, but nothing we did worked. So I totally agree with metsrock69, if you don't know what you're doing, just get a repair man in.

If you have already cleaned and defrosted it and it is still not working then you should call for a repair man or if it still have garantee contact the place where you bought it. good luck

yes you can call a repairman after you have searched online for a solution. if you had it a number of years it may be time to get a new one.

It takes some serious education and training to do repairs like this, so my first reaction would be to buy a new one instead of throwing good money after bad.

@oldbuddy & @Angie10. I concur. I'll not try tinkering with a machine I know about only by storing ice cream in it. I guess its time to summon a repair person.
