Keypad with indelible keys?

Postby germainebull » 05 Jun 2016, 09:15

As at now, I've replaced the keypad of my laptop twice. I did this replacement because the markers on some of the keys were erased. However, some keys on my current keypad are already without markings. I'm rather peeved by this scenario.
My question: Is there a particular laptop brand with indelible keys?

I have an HP Envy and I do not have this problem. I did not know that the markings on the keypad could come off. I have never used any other brand of computer so do not know if this happens on a lot of them. I hope you are able to figure it out so that this will not keep happening to you.

I solved that problem with an illuminated keyboard where the characters go clear through the key with an LED inside each one, but it was over $100.

I've had an Acer Aspire Nitro v15 for a year now and the keys are in really good condition, they don't seem to be faded out at all.

That is a refreshing idea. Thanks.

By the way, what was the total cost of this keypad?
Also, what is the manufacturer?
And, is it available globally?

I bought the Logitech K800 Wireless Illuminated Keyboard from Amazon, but I don't know if it's available globally or what the cost would be now.

May I assume that you use your laptop for at least 5 hours a day?
