The internet attracted me the first time I used a computer. It was many years ago while I was in college and I went with a few of my friends in an internet cafe. We just sat together crowded around a computer, exploring stuff and opened our email accounts! The attraction has only increased after all these years and now the fact that, I can earn money from it has deepened my love for the computers.

But yes, of course, sometimes I do get bored with it when I am feeling blue and cannot find anyone to spend time with as all busy working! That is when I feel that the computers should not exist.

I think at first it was movies and music and games, but then when I found internet, that made me addictive to it. It takes time out of the equation for a kid I think...

I was using a computer when I worked at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Then I began to do computer work within my religious organization. I still remember setting up my first e-mail account and I had no desire to be online except to communicate via e-mail. The advantage was that I didn't have to pay for envelopes or postage.

As I learned I became more and more interested in being online and now that I've learned how to earn.....

I'm addicted.

The first time I ever was around a computer was the mid 90s at my cousins house. Now mind you we were kids and it was their dads computer so we couldn't use it. But the next summer he had a computer for the kids with some game on it of sorts, I kind of forget now but I enjoyed it. In elementary school all our classrooms had 2-4 computers. I can remember spending some lunch hours playing some fun educational games. And then in High school it seemed like we mostly used computers for projects and research.

Teenage years I made friends online got into online gaming and later learning how to make cash online. I got to say it has been fun and I really love computers and the internet.

I couldn't remember what made me use a computer for the very first time. But i remember creating an email for school purposes, that was about when i started spending time in front of the screen. Then reading articles on Yahoo. It was the first site that i chose as my homepage.

Nowadays, i mainly use it for research, article reading, being part of forums like this, editing pictures, watching movies, you know.. the usual.

Back in the late '90s, I became attracted to computers because I could do various fun stuff on these wonder machines.

For example, I vividly remember using MS PowerPoint to create some rudimentary presentations.

I am a lucky one because when I was born computers didn't exist , so I was able to watch the first computers on the market. I remember Atari 1040ST, Spectrum, Comodore, jesus that was a world. I was delighted with everything about this new technology, especialy the games. Nowadays I couldn't live without a computer, it is like going outside without my shoes, just thinking about I get stressed up.
And yes I am computer addicted.

Like @darkthorn I had the privilege to view the first computers. My first computer was a spectrum and then a 486 with 6mb of RAM. Can you imagine that? Nowadays calculators have more ram that my second computer

I had many hardware and software problems in my 486. That's why I started to learn hardware...

The computer has changed big time the first time I laid my eyes in one it was a laptop using word perfect you can imagine how far that is I was so excited didn't know how to react but I loved the experience and a lot has changed

To me i was attracted by THE INTERNET, my first PC was an old dell.
Pretty much i got pulled in by the vast majority of games in the internet.

The first time when I interacted with a PC is during my high school days, when computer was newly introduced to school syllabus. I was very much excited, and when I sat before a computer for the first time, it's like a new toy to a kid , also a little bit scared too, if I would damage the system. years later, I spent most of my time before this wonderful interactive tool

The first thing that attracted me was definitely the INTERNET. The more I came to know more about it the more I got addicted to it. Because there is so much things to learn and its awesome fun. Even though there are some negative things in the internet there is still a lot of good things to see and learn each day. Its a good question

i was attracted when I knew computer was known as 386 and then 486 and then 586 and more.
Back then it was dos version, using the floppy disk to load in data, it was just fascinating!
