Annoyed by 'heavy' default homepage of Internet Explorer?

Postby germainebull » 23 Jun 2016, 16:48

Personally, I find the default homepage of Internet Explorer (IE) annoying.

Why?

Because this homepage is filled with various standard items that may it 'heavy', so to speak.

Such 'heaviness' causes IE to load slowly.

Does anyone else share my sentiments?

Only time I visit that page is when I open the Internet Explorer for the first time, and the first thing I do after wards is change that, also download chrome, and most probably I'll never use IE again.
But the new Edge explorer by Microsoft in windows 10 is not that bad actually, it is quite decent so I do use it sometimes, but mostly I'll stick with Chrome and Firefox and even I don't use their default homepages, I change them to my preferred options.

I agree. I've always found the default homepage of IE to be quite annoying. I only ever open IE to download other browsers, though, like shamzblueworld said. I've been using Firefox these days. When I did use Internet Explorer (over a decade ago), I would always change the homepage.

With access now to other much much better browsers such as Chrome, Firefox etc. I hardly bother with Internet Explorer now which have become even more slower and annoying. I personally prefer to use Mozilla Firefox which gives a hundred times better performance than IE.

do you mean msn homepage? you can change your default homepage if you want. go to tools at the top of IE and click in the menu in the drop down list click internet options at the bottom and a box will pop up giving you the choice to change your homepage address, just type in what page you want to start with

You are right.
But, it is sad that certain sites require users to use the annoying IE.
