A lot of newer i7 models come with this speed, worst case scenario you'll have to get a CPU with a slower processing speed then add turbo to it to jump to the 3.0 GHz benchmark.

That computer has the AMD processor, and I think Intel is much better. i5 and would be more affordable, but if you can afford i7, go for it! You will love how fast it runs. As for the name brand of computer, you can do a search with specific question such as the one you titled it here.

Just keep in mind that the processor rating is not the only thing that determines the ultimate speed for the end user.

As oldbuddy said, there are other things to consider. When we upgraded equipment at my old job, we had significant speed improvements with the computers changing to SSD storage. Doubling the RAM also helped a lot.

I bought a 3+ GHz processor 10 years back, in the old Pentium days. Also in the computer lab for my students I have many old PCs(Dual Core and Core 2 Duo) with Processors of 3.0 GHz.

excellent processor, and good velocity but the ram is too important for your computer
