Adsense?

Postby germainebull » 08 Aug 2016, 16:03

What are the prerequisites for creating an Adsense account?
Does this include ownership of a website?

You don't have to own a website, you can just belong to one like Hub Pages or WebAnswers which are linked to Adsense so that you are paid through them. You just need to write high quality content with accurate spelling and grammar and then apply for one. Adsense will assess it and get back to you to tell you whether you have been approved.

Thanks for this heads up.
I'm curious; in what genre do I need to create this high quality content?

Anything you like. Write about something you know about. I don't have a speciality subject but I got approved. I gained mine through answering questions on WebAnswers.com (take a look at it) but some people have blogs on Hub Pages and apply through that. These sites will give you the option to do that.

I've checked WebAnswers.
It does not seem to be an option; I cant go to the website from my browser.

Depending on your location, you'd find that adsense expects you to have your website domain for 6 months. Also after that you also need lot of content on your site. If you apply it through youtube then make sure you have a lot of videos there too. That way you can easily make sure that you'd have content over which the ads can be displayed. Webanswers is not there anymore and is closed so you have to find other sites.

That's a shame, I use Chrome. What country are you from? It could be country related.

I see. Thanks for this info.
I don't want to overextend my liberties. But, since you appear knowledgeable in this matter, what these other sites that an interested person might use?

I am looking at applying for an Adsense account to try my luck and I think this is a pretty handy checklist. I haven't tried doing the path as sprite mentioned as I am going to try it for my own domain.
