I'm trying to transfer a PDF file given to me by a Rehabilitation Institution that I signed up for to my external travel drive. But having access to OSX Utilities, I can't seem to do that.(It tells me to download into another haddrive, but won't give me the option to do so, that's so frustating! Dx) Anyway... Any suggestions on how I can extract the PDF file so I fill it out and e-mail it back?

You should be able to open the document in a PDF client, then use Save As to save it on the USB drive.
