I can't say I have made any technological advancement this year.
Most of my technological goals that I set at the beginning of this year are in limbo.

I think virtual reality headset seems to be the breakthrough this year. Most of the devices using this technology. I think the future is something more deep. I'd see that in future people maybe able to live their life in virtual reality. And that would surely help many people come out of stress and depression.

No, but learning every day on what come across for me is enough at the moment. I can't keep up because the real life is very demanding for me too.

I doubled the amount of memory in my computer from 8 GB to 16 GB. Does that count? It seems to have helped my performance in some games slightly. :3

I share your sentiments and experience. For several years, I've been desiring to devote about 3 months to learn at least three programming languages. Due to the daily demands, I've not met this target, unfortunately.

For me this year, I bought a Bluetooth Headphone plus an android watch which is technological advancement for me.
