Just came across this interesting project: ReactOS.org.

The aim is to create a free, open source operating system which can run Windows programs. One of my biggest issues with linux is that I cannot run MS Office so I am watching this project with interest.

Anyone given their Alpha a try?

Given that Microsoft is/are very keen about licences, I wonder how it/they will respond to this worthy initiative.

Looks very interesting, certainly an ambitious project, good for them I hope it will be very successful. I'd be interested in giving it a try once they have a stable release.
