I recently took some photos while completing a particular assignment. While these photos can open on my Android phone, they do not open on my Windows 7 laptop.
Could someone help me diagnose the problem?

Try opening them on a different program? What error do you see while opening them?

Umm, by default, jpg format files are associated and open with Windows Photo Viewer in Windows 7. You can change to another program if you wish. The following are alternatives which you can use:

"Windows Photo Viewer can't open this picture because either Photo Viewer doesn't support this file format, or you don't have the latest updates to Photo Viewer"

Have you tried opening the photo with another program? Maybe that will work.

I suggest you check which 'office' version you have. If you change your version to MS word office 7 probably you would be able to open them.
