Out of all brands out there, I phone is the least likely to get "hacked", or rather, infected by virus. But, any kind of phone is vulnerable to virus, as far as i know. In the end it comes to what software you implemented in it, so for starter try to be more cautious on installing software into your phone. Do a background research, and at least installed an antivirus just to be on the safe side.

My phone has never been hacked, though I've never used any antivirus app either.
Any reason why a phone might be hacked so much?

My phone has never been hacked but I have installed Kapersky so that I can scan it regularly for infections. It gives me peace of mind.

To be honest, smartphone hacked regularly is kind of an overstatement. I mean, how could it possibly be that bad? Let me tell you, that once your phone is hacked, there's no second chance. It's sort of like identity theft, where these so called hackers benefited by using your credential information and drain your balance surplus either by charging you extra bills, or by secretly subscribing unwanted contents. I've experienced both, and had to change my SIM card, and report to support center, deactivating my account. I learned my lesson, so up until now I never install shady software into my phone. It's been several years now, glad it's all good.
