Online Logo Makers

Postby shamzblueworld » 02 Dec 2016, 05:17

Do you use online logo making tools or websites? I was just looking at one and I actually found quite decent designs there.
Have you ever tried any?
What is the downfall of using any such tools?

I have never used such online services. But, my intuition tells me that a particular free logo that is available online is bound to be used by many people. This situation would cause the users who appropriate such app to lack uniqueness. A significant challenge in my estimation.

If it is free, why not? Logo for website or blogsite spells an identity and a personality for the said site. It is like a name or an avatar for a profile. I think there are lots of them in the Net. My logo for my blog site is made and designed by our youngest son.

I agree that would be one problem of using such service.

And nice work by your young one @nakitakona

I had purchased a logo making software, however when the computer where it was installed stopped working, transferring the license was very time consuming

Isn't it same like using any of the online tools? Plenty of people are gonna use the software and maybe create a logo with same graphics, do you think it is okay to overlook this? Especially when you're trying to establish a brand.

Luckily for me, I don't have to source these types of services because my husband is a qualified Graphic Designer. Anything I need done, he does for me. Over time I've picked up quite a few bits of useful information to help me understand and differentiate between good and bad designs. -and sadly, I've observed that a lot of the work you can get on the cheap online does tend to be at worst, mediocre and at best, adequate....RARELY mind blowing :(

Can you show me any of your husband's work?
How much does he charge for a logo? And will he accept forumcoin?

I had our schoolpaper's logo made by a seller in Fiverr. I am quite satisfied although the result was far from what I had in mind. It was too simple but it works so I guess it's OK.
