Removing recipient list in emails

Postby germainebull » 13 Dec 2016, 08:25

I've discovered that some of the email contacts I perform business with always remove the list of recipients in sent emails. As a result, although I receive my emails, I cannot tell who else has received the same email.

Can anyone share insights on how to remove recipient lists from emails in this manner?

They may use an email list management service such as Constant Contact or MailChimp, which would hide recipient email addresses. Alternatively they may put the recipients' email addresses in the BCC field, which stops anyone else on the list from seeing who the email was sent to. The "CC" is for Carbon Copy and the "B" is for "Blind" meaning people who receive the email, cannot see who it was copied to.

Thanks Fergal for your enlightening comment. Thanks to you, I now know that I may use this feature if I so wish.
