Chromebooks?

Postby Sam » 17 Dec 2016, 00:53

Is anyone a Chromebook user? I'm thinking of getting one for next year because I find that I never use my laptop for anything complicated (just using the internet, watching videos etc.). I'm not sure whether I'll keep my desktop or my windows laptop either (because of space issues).

I have one and I love it! I've had it around 4-5 years and it's as quick now as when I bought it. Mine is an acer and I paid about £200 for it.

Pardon my ignorance. But, I have to ask this question; is a Chromebook a type of tablet?

A Chromebook is a laptop of a different breed. Instead of Windows 10 or Mac OS X, Chromebooks run Google's Chrome OS. These machines are designed to be used primarily while connected to the Internet, with most applications and documents living in the cloud.

It has it's own built in antivirus but you cannot install any other browser or third party software on it. This is not a problem for me.
