I recently read a comment on some blog that stated that the capabilities of the corei7 laptop are exaggerated for nothing. This blogger alleged that, compared to corei3, corei7 has similar capabilities. Consequently, there is no need for a user to spend a significantly larger amount of money to purchase a corei7 computer when he/she could easily settle for the corei3 computer.

What are your thoughts on this matter?

I have not had any of them yet, but I think there must be some difference and corei7 must be better in some way, after all it came way after corei3 and is expensive a lot too. One of my friends recently upgraded his PC from corei3 to corei7 and it cost him like 45000 PKR. Which is a lot mind you, he had that corei3 for like only 15000 PKR.

I think core i3 set of processors are low priced. And core i7 processors are highly priced. just check out laptops with core i 7 and the price is very high for the laptop for same reason.

If you are using software that takes advantage of the extra processors, then you should see some benefit.

I would think that for running the latest game software, you would see some benefit when using the latest processors. It's also worth checking the performance of the graphics processor, as this can affect some software a great deal.

I don't think i3 means outdated and i7 means latesst. those numbers shows the number of cores being use in them. for example i7 has more 3 cores. and i 3 has 2 cores etc.

What are these exceptions you are referring to here?

Just that there are a few i7 cores that are dual-core, and other processors can be quad-core... which can make things confusing!

It depends on what you do. For gaming and video rendering, there is undoubtedly a world of difference between an i3 and an i7! If you are just browsing the internet or word processing, you may not notice as much of a difference.
