Laptop with best battery

Postby earthsalt » 19 Feb 2017, 09:07

Having to contend with a laptop battery that dissipates very fast is an obvious bother. I thus want to purchase a laptop with a battery having superior capabilities.
Do you have any ideas about a suitable model/brand/make?

If you have the budget for a MacBook, they usually have very good battery life. Or consider an iPad, possibly.

jonjenkins, you have mentioned high-end expensive products. Isn't there a worthy product that has a medium cost?

I will carry out investigations into the prices of viable gadgets from these two brands and make a decision.
Thanks for sharing.

Most laptops have better battery life than a few years ago - so I think there is a very wide choice. The battery life also depends a lot on what you use the computer for. If you watch lots of videos, that will shorten the life more quickly than just browsing websites and sending emails. If the wifi signal is weak where you use the computer, then your laptop will probably use a bit more power, like cellphones vary their power output when they are in a low-signal area.

Here's a couple of links to some useful info:

I did not know this bit of information. I have now understood why my laptop battery used to dissipate fast whenever I went upcountry some years back.

It is like laptops operate more or less in the same way as mobile phones.

I'm searching for a new laptop at the moment and good battery life is really high on my list of necessities. You might want to take a look at: http://www.laptopmag.com/articles/all-d ... -notebooks.

In general: Lenovo Thinkpads have excellent battery life (Mine did until I overheated it - my fault :/), Chromebooks are designed for good battery life and ASUS, from my research, appear to have good ultrabooks with solid battery life.

For me Lenovo worked much better compared to Dell and HP. So My choice for now is going with Lenovo laptops. I may even try other brands but for now it's just lenovo.

When you bought laptop, battery can be fast spend because of laptop settings. Turn of any accelerations, low screen brightness, turn sleep mode and screen shutdown.

it's not about the brand . there's things you can do to extend your laptop's battery life .
for exemple Don’t leave your laptop on permanent charge and manage your laptop memory .

I preferably note down this your suggestion. Is it right to use the laptop while it charged? What's the effect?

Yes that is true the reason for this things is that sometime you may be working on a particular project before you know it the laptop battery get die and you have no other alternative than for you to shut down your system.
