Of late, I have noted that my laptop is sometimes registering a screen without text when I hit the Google search button. I am thus forced to hit the search button again to return to normalcy. I am using Google Chrome.

What could be the cause for this recent anomaly?

This is not a solution, however, I have a similar problem. While using DeviantArt (as this is normally where the problem occurs), I often end up with a blank page, claiming it has loaded, but with only the background loaded in. My messages or thumbnails don't appear even though it claims it has loaded. This is also in Google Chrome.

I never encountered this problem. I use google all of the time and I push search and get the results I am looking for.

germainebull, your internal computer system is most likely the cause of the problem. You may want to have it checked.
